Jeddah: Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, known for his melodious Quran reciatation, has been named as head of the Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Medinah, Arab News reported.
The imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque in Makkah with his beautiful recitation of Quran, has inspired many Muslim faithful across the world. He is been appointed at the head of the Presidency position for two holy mosques in Saudia Arabia replacing Sheikh Saleh Al-Hosain after his request.
Sheikh Saleh Al-Hosain was replaced with Shaikh Al Sudais after he requested higher authorities to relieve him from the position few days back.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah stated in a royal decree that we have accepted the request of Sheikh Saleh Al-Hosain to be relieved of his position as head of the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques because of the fitness reasons and appointed Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais in his place.
Al-Sudais was born in 1382H in Riyadh, and memorized the whole Quran at an age of 12 under the supervision of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Firyan.
In 1404H, he was appointed imam and khateeb of the Grand Mosque. In 1408H he received his master’s degree from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh.
Meanwhile Dr.Aamir Liaqat Hussain has also showed his pleasure on the appointment of Sheikh Al-Sudais and it is also worth mentioning here that the newly appointed head of the Presidency for two most holy mosques of Muslims have also made a visit to Pakistan in the past.
