Women only market was established outside Rawalakot in 2011 where women were the shop owners and women were the customer. Now the market allows men to enter the market if they are accompanied by women.

The market has also become a place where women discuss their problems and get solutions. It was established by an NGO Pearl Rural Support Programme. It is not only a place to purchases and sell products but now women who face domestic violence can find support and refugee at this place.
Recently a woman came here after her husband cut off her nose, police denied to file the complain. With the help of NGO the woman filed a case against her husband who is now behind bar. The NGO is also helping her by hiring a lawyer.
Some women are also training young girls in beautician course while others are learning the traditional tailoring techniques.
