ISLAMABAD: Police and Rangers have arrested two alleged terrorists from the federal capital city, Islamabad. The alleged terrorists have been identified as the sons of Maulana Abdul Rasheed Ghazi (late), the cleric of Lal Mosque.
According to police, the accused have been arrested from the limit of Kohisar Police Station (F-6). The police claimed that military uniform and arms have also been recovered from both the accused named as Haris Rasheed and Haroon Rasheed.
The accused were going to their native village with their driver that the police searched their car and recovered arms and military uniform. The police then arrested the accused brothers. An FIR on the violation of section 144 and keeping arms with has been filed against them in Kohisar police station.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused Haroon Rasheed is the plaintiff against ex-president Pervaiz Musharraf in the murder of Ghazi Abdul Rasheed. According to a local newspaper’s website, the spokesman on the arrest of both the accused has reacted.
He has said that it is a conspiracy against both the brothers in order to step them back from the case against Musharraf. He claimed that no military uniform has been found from their vehicle, adding that only a pistol is recovered which is licensed.
