Karachi: The ongoing brutal killings in Lyari have unveiled the performance of the officials of Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) during their targeted operation against the criminal elements. This was stated by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman while talking to the journalists of electronic media at a luncheon meeting held at Idara-Noor Haq here on Wednesday.
Speaking at the occasion, Hafiz Naeem said that the deteriorated law and order situation in Lyari has unveiled the tall claims of government and law enforcing agencies and raised question mark on the ongoing targeted operation.
[junkie-alert style=”white”]Hafiz Naeem further said that the innocent people including women and children have been killed in the armed clashes between rivalry gang war groups in Lyari, however; the government and LEAs officials are tight lipped over the prevailing situation of Lyari.[/junkie-alert]
“Despite the claims made by the LEAs officials in order to arrest hardened criminals and recovered heavy ammunition from their possession, more than a dozen people have been killed daily in Lyari, which definitely a point to ponder for the government and its concerns institutions”, he added.
Commenting on the recent situation, JI Karachi Chief reiterated that the deliberations with Taliban are the only way to restore lasting peace in the country, adding that the option of using power will produce devastating effect on the country. Replying to a question, Hafiz Naeem said that the JI was getting overwhelming response from the people during its ongoing membership campaign, adding that the JI was an ideological party which does moves backward in crucial time.

He further informed that the Al-Khidmat was continued its relief activities for the people of Tharparkar and dispatched convoys of relief goods along with the teams of professional doctors and Al-Khidmat volunteers for the people of Tharparkar.
On the occasion, he announced that “Tahafuz-e-Pakistan Convention” is to be held on March, 23 at the end of membership campaign, which will bring positive change in the country.
