Talat Hussain emerged on the television scene in the late 90s with a show called Sawaray Sawaray on PTV. He then worked as the leader of the team responsible for establishing PTV World and started another program by the name of News Night.
Talat Hussain held key positions of Director, News and Current affairs with PTV, Prime Televison UK and Telebiz. He also contributes regularly to local and international publications such as Dawn, Newsline, Time Magazine, Daily Express and occasionally India Today.
Syed Talat Hussain portrayed his passion for journalism during the Israeli blockade of Gaza during tensions in 2010. Talat Hussain was aboard the Turkish flotilla headed towards Gaza with aid for the Palestinians when it was attacked by Israeli troops. His status and whereabouts were unknown for sometime after that and he finally returned home a month later through King Abdullah II of Jordan
