Google has introduced an interesting feature by the name of ‘Find My Phone’ on Google that will allow the user to track their phones with ease. With the introduction of this feature, Google now lives up to the reputation of finding anything on this planet! But in order to use this feature, you need to follow some basic steps. It is important to have a Gmail account on your phone before you lodge a search for your phone on Google.
- First of all, open the Google search engine on your computer. It is important that you log in to the browser through the same Gmail account that is on your phone, which will allow the Google search engine eto locate the type of your phone and its location. The browser will again ask for a reconfirmation of your account.
- It is necessary to have the internet service running on your mobile phone. Otherwise, Google will state the last location that your mobile phone was found when the internet was running on it.
- The location service should also be functional on your mobile phone.
- The browser will immediately pin point your location on a map, after you have correctly logged in. the browser will also provide you with a ring tone option and you can call on your phone while locating it.
Earlier Google launched an Android device manager that allows a user to also delete the data on their phones. But this option is not available through this service. So if you are looking to delete the data on your phones, then it is advised that you go to the google.com/android/devicemanager. This service is however a quick option to locate your mobile device as it does not require any sort of activation.
