We Pakistanis love to participate in charity works and most of us do it in Ramzan. There are many donation practices observe in our country including religious and non-religious. Some of them are Zakat, Sadqa, Help of needy people, Masjid & Hospital Constructions.
Most important thing in this donation activity is trust on an organization which is collecting funds. It’s a common practice in Pakistan that people don’t investigate too much before giving donation money.

We all know that a major chunk of donations goes to religious organizations & Madrasas in Pakistan which shows Islamic sentiments among people but on other hand, culprits use these emotions for their own wrong interests.
Recently an NGO Individualland conducted an informative session for Bloggers & Social Media Activists of Karachi to create awareness regarding Safe charity Practices. This couple of hours long session was given another perspective on charity Practices in Pakistan.
It was really shocking to know that most of Pakistanis don’t know that how their funds are going to utilize. Many people don’t check the credibility of charity collectors which boost the confidence of offender in Society.
As a nation, we should avoid giving charity to suspicious people and organizations. On another hand, it’s important for print, electronic & Social Media to create awareness on this issue.

Twitter trending is one of most effective ways to spread the message to maximum people in minimum time. Likeminded people should create a group (WhatsApp, Facebook or Twitter Group) to start a Twitter campaign.
Another method is to write guest posts n leading blogs of Pakistan and those blogs will be shared on social networks.
In short, there are multiple ways through which social Media Can Create Awareness on Safe charity Practices. The only thing which we Bloggers & Social Media Activists need is Commitment.
