Karachi: In a recent interview, sculptor, Junaid Iqbal says that sculpturing is a time consuming and a tedious task. A sculptor has to extremely inquisitive in terms of the subject of the sculptor and has to do a lot of research before creating a master piece.
Junaid expressed his satisfaction in the current state of the sculpturing industry and said that our sculptors need to gain global recognition to give more worth to their art. He urged that the sculptors must respect the cultural and social values of our society in their artistic expression.
Junaid Iqbal is a resident of Lahore and has completed his education from NCA Lahore. He has organized successful solo and group shows both locally and globally. Junaid added that freedom in expression is imperative to promote the artistic creations of the artists so that the artists are able to express their art according to their skills and creativity.
Junaid works in wooden, marble and metallic medium. He said in addition to the hard work invested in each master pieces, artists also have to a lot of money for the expensive materials. Fortunately, there are a lot of art lovers who appreciate the work of these artists. Another show for Junaid Iqbal’s art pieces will be held on 25th March in a local gallery.
