Jeddah: Saudi Arabia announced tough sentences for foreigners in violation of local laws in the country. A million riyals may fine, sentenced to two years imprisonment or deportation in case of violations may occur. According to the Saudi Interior Ministry, the main victims of these laws are those foreigners who have settled in the country despite their expired visa.
Offense punish will be given by keeping in the view past records, as the criminal will have a time of 30 days to file their appeal after the resulted decision. The first penalty will be fined 10,000 riyals while second penalty against the violation of laws will be 25,000 riyals and also shall be punished with imprisonment of one month and deportation as well as third penalty will be fined 50,000 riyals and with six month imprisonment and deportation.
Those residents whose visas are expired and not leaving the country will be charged 15,000 riyals with deportation; however who will attempt this mistake again will be fined 25,000 riyals and will have to face 3 month imprisonment with deportation. Similarly who will provide illegally shelter to the living people will be punished 25,000 riyals with 6 months imprisonment and shall be punished deportation in case of foreign.
There are also strict punishments for those who employ illegal residents and do not inform government about them would be punished harshly. After come to know about these rules there has been a wave of concern between foreigners who are living in Saudi Arabia and now it is said that these punishment are completely hardened as compared to the other countries.
