Lahore: The senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Admiral (Retd) Javed Iqbal announced to quit Khan’s party after a string of disagreements with the policies of central leadership. He announced this while addressing a press conference here on Saturday. Former central vice president of the party, Javed Iqbal expresses severe concerns over the policies and the way the party was being run.
He said that the party has been hijacked by Musharraf club due to the joining of a number of those who had supported dictatorship and enjoyed power under his rule. ‘I had differences with the party policies not with Imran Khan,’ senior politician added.
Javed Iqbal was critical of the view that ideological members of party were pushed aside and no one is willing to listen them. ‘I joined and supported PTI when it was not even considered as a political party but it is unfortunate to see that PTI has now no ideological basis.’
