ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmakers have announced that in protest against load shedding, unemployment, corruption, lawlessness, worsening law and order situation of Balochistan, increase in POL prices and price spiral in the country they would march towards the Presidency from Parliament house today (Thursday) and also hold sit in, in front of the presidency.
Talking to media outside the parliament, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the situation has worsened and reached at a point when the PML-N thought it would be a sin not to act against the government.
Nisar added that the PML-N had started protests against load-shedding and government started taking notice of internal problems plaguing the country. Nisar said that PML (N) parliamentarians would hold a demonstration and sit-in outside President House today (Thursday) as protest against power load shedding, inflation and unemployment.
Nisar said that the government has spread darkness and a sense of helplessness everywhere in the country, adding that the government has not only disappointed the people of Balochistan but people everywhere else in the country. He said that if the bad governance of PPP continues in the country, it would harm the country, adding that PML-N would pressurize government for solution of the public problems.
Nisar termed PM Gilani and President Zardari responsible for all problems of masses. He said that the members of all opposition parties would participate in demonstration and sit-in and address to the participants. Earlier, again the National Assembly session was marred by protests against power load shedding and Quetta carnage. PML (N) parliamentarians staged a walkout from the session on a point of objection raised by Farah Naz Ispahani while the member of Ruling People’s Party staged a sit-in for the second day to demand the imposition of Governor Rule in Balochistan. He was joined by parliamentarians of not only the PML (N) but also the PPP.
