Pakistan Cricket board (PCB) is determined to buy bullet proof busses to make sure best security for visiting teams. The approval of bulletproof busses was done in the PCB governing board meeting.
Because international cricket in Pakistan was not happening since last three years after the attack by Gunmen on Sri Lankan team near Gaddafi Stadium. This attack injured five Sri Lankan players and killed six security men and two civilian. Since then Pakistan have been playing their home series abroad.
PCB has been working on identifying new venues for international cricket across the country and upgrading them to international standard. The cricket board top officials has visited the Abbottabad Stadium and approved a budget of Rs 12.5 million for its development.
