KARACHI: The nation is celebrating Eid Al-Adha with religious zeal and fervor across the country today. The congregations of Namaz-e-Eid (Eid Prayers) took place in every big or small part of the country after Namaz-e-Fajr.
The religious scholars or ulamas enlightened the Sunnat of the prophet, Ibrahim (Peace Be Upon Him) and told the importance of the sacrifice whereas the ulamas specially prayed for the unity of the Muslims. After Namaz-e-Eid, the Muslims sacrificed animals in the name of Allah by acting upon the Sunnat of the prophet, Ibrahim (Peace Be Upon Him).
On the other hand, the residents of Bannu and Bajaur including other areas celebrated Eid Al-Adha yesterday. The ulamas specially prayed for the progress and peace in the country. A large number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) attended Namaz-e-Eid. Various districts of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas celebrated Eid Al-Adha on Sunday whereas various others are celebrating Eid today.
