Karachi: Arif Mehdi and Sajjad Mehdi, the sons of the King of Ghazal Mehdi Hasan have desired to bury their late father at Mazar-e-Quaid (Tomb of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah), sources informed.

The funeral prayer and burial ceremony of Mehdi Hasan, who died today of long illness, will be observed here on Friday.

A number of politicians including President Zardari, PM Yousaf Raza Gilani, Indian Premier Manmohan Singh and several others have expressed condolence over the death of the Ghazal Maestro Mehdi Hasan.

Meanwhile, several media personalities from Pakistanas well as India have also expressed severe grief on the death of Shehenshah-e-Ghazal.
