Pakistani Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is nowadays on the official visit of Sri Lanka. During the visit, a book has been launched with the title “Majestic Pakistan”. The launching ceremony of this book was held at Pakistani High Commission in Sri Lanka, in which Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was also present. The ceremony was started with the national anthems of Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presents the book Majestic Pakistan to his Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe. Majestic Pakistan is released to promote tourism in Pakistan. The book contains stunning images of beautiful places of Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by Begum Kalsoom Nawaz, Khurram Dastagir Khan, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Tariq Fatemi (Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs), retired Lt Gen Nasir Khan Janjua (National Security Advisor) and retired Maj Gen Syed Shakil Hussain (Pakistani High Commissioner). The first lady of Sri Lanka had also attended the ceremony. The book was launched in 3 languages, i.e. English, Sinhalese and Tamil. After this ceremony, a dinner was also organized by Pakistani High Commission, attended by Nawaz Sharif and Ranil Wickremesinghe.
It is to be noted that 8 different agreements have been also signed during Nawaz Sharif’s Sri Lanka visit.
