KARACHI: Karachi police has claimed to have ridden NO-GO-Areas from the city during the operation. A meeting was held at Central Police Office Karachi under the presidency of IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali in which Additional IG Mushtaq Maher including high police officials was present.
The meeting reviewed the Sindh police’s last year performance and police officers presented the report of department’s performance to IG Sindh. Karachi police has claimed in the report that the situation of peace has bettered in Karachi due to the actions, being taken against criminals during a year.
The police claimed that the business of 80 billion rupees on last Eid-ul-Fitr shows that the situation of peace in the city has improved. The police further claimed that all NO-GO-Areas have been ridded from Karachi.
The report elaborates that 10 factories that were making bombs were removed in different actions during last year whereas 633 kilograms of explosive material and 64 suicide jackets were defused. Besides, 5 IEDs, 917 hand grenades, 54 rockets, 19 LMGs, 13 G-3 rifles, 7 MP-5 rifles and 599 Kalashnikovs including huge amount of other arms were recovered.
