New Delhi/Islamabad: Former Pakistani captain and Coach Javed Miandad faced opposition from the Indian extremist groups and Congress after the Indian government issued visa to the known player, permitting him to attend the 3 rd ODI match that is going to be held at Delhi on January 5, tomorrow.
Hindu extremist group leader Shiv Sinha has expressed deep anger and opposition while the Indian governmental body Congress Parliamentary member, Jigad Mubaika has also shown displeasure over the issue. The Foreign Minister on the other hand had defended the government decision stating that no restrictions can be imposed on Javed Miandad as he stands as one of the prominent and important member of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
It is pertinent here to mention that Javed Miandad is father in law of Dawood Ibrahim’s son, who is among the most wanted list of Indian dons. Talking to media, the former captain said that he would definitely go to see the last match. He said that I hold Ajmer Sharif visa and imposing ban on my arrivals because I hold relation with Dawood Ibrahim would be wrong.
According to the details of the monitoring desk, former player of Indian team, Chetan Sharma is also criticizing the governmental decision who still cannot forget Miandad’s sixes on the Indian field.
It is a controversial issue since the list issued by PCB didn’t have Javed Miandad’s name, hence nothing could se said upon it.
