In Islam having good relation with your family, cousins and relatives is among important and serious issues. Allah says in Quran:
“And those who break the Covenant of Allah, after its ratification, and sever that which Allah has commanded to be joined (i.e., they sever the bond of kinship and are not good to their relatives), and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse (i.e., they will be far away from Allah’s Mercy); And for them is the unhappy (evil) home (i.e., Hell).” [al-Ra’d 13:25]
Allah threatens us with hell for breaking our ties, so how can we even think of doing an act against which Allah threatens us with Hell fire? Sheikh Saalih said that what worse can be done to us than giving us a home in hell?
In Islam we are obliged not only to take care and have good ties with those who are good for us rather we are obliged to be good with those who may seem annoyed and not good to us.
