NEW DELHI: Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh has announced that India is ready to take aggressive military action on the boundary in case it’s necessary. According to a local Indian newspaper “The Hindu”, Singh has said that the war of future can be short and breezy. Dalbir Singh was expressing his thoughts in Tri-service Seminar on Indo-Pak war of 1965.
Dalbir Singh pointed to strained relations with Pakistan concerning recent violations of ceasefire in Jamu and Kashmir and said that in view of current situation, New Delhi needed to be prepared for war at all time.
According to the newspaper, Indian Army Chief said that high level operational preparations of India have become the part of its strategies because it will be not easier to get informed about the short and breezy war of future in advance.
We can see that future threats and challenges will become more compounded owing to which the responsibilities of Indian Army has increased a lot in last few years.
