The rise in cattle prices in Pakistan and the economic situation of the country has made it almost impossible for a common man to perform his religious duty of sacrificing an animal on ‘Eid-ul-Adha’.
But as they say that Pakistanis are expert in ‘Jugar’ figuring something out, Pakistanis have came up with a concept of ‘Ijtamai Qurbani’ collective sacrifice which is being done for past several years.
Quite frankly, Ijtamai Qurbani has now become a popular trend in Pakistan. As Eid-ul-Adha comes near, cattle markets are set up in towns. But every year the price of the cattle increases to over 100% – 200%. This makes a common man unable to perform his sacrificial duty.

Ijtamai Qurbani is an easy way that a common man can also take part and perform his religious duty of sacrificing an animal on the holy occasion. The trend of Ijtamai Qurbani has been showing positive increase due to many reasons like increase in cost of living wage, lack of proper place for animals in residential areas, high cost of animal food etc.
[junkie-alert style=”white”]Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan hence residents of every city and town are mostly interested in ‘Ijtamai Qurbani’[/junkie-alert]
Sohrab Goth Mandi, the biggest cattle market of Asia has been set up in Karachi. Many animals have arrived and 24/7 animals are still pouring into the market. The price of goat is starting from Rs. 12,000 and cow price starts from Rs. 35,000. These are just the starting prices and it goes way up high.

If you are unable to get a cow or goat to perform your religious duty, you can take part in Ijtamai Qurbani.
