QUETTA: A Frontier Corps official among three were killed and 24 others were injured in a bomb blast near FC’s vehicle in Quetta. The bomb blast took place on Saryab link road the area in Quetta whereas 40 kilograms of explosives material was used in the bomb blast.
According to police, the bomb went off when the vehicle of the FC was on patrolling on Saryab link road. The incident claimed three lives including an FC official whereas 24 others including two FC officials were injured. The injured were shifted to civil hospital and CMH.
According to sources, the explosion was of such intensity that two vehicles and a rickshaw nearby were damaged whereas shops and residential buildings nearby were also damaged. According to the bomb disposal squad, the explosive material was installed in a vehicle standing by the road and the explosion was made through remote controlled device whereas 40 kilograms of the explosives material was used.
According to the initial reports, the FC vehicle was targeted through the bomb however, further investigation was going on. The capital city police of Quetta directed that the documentations of the vehicle which was used in the bomb blast should be scrutinized.
