Lahore: As part of the relief efforts for internally displaced persons (IDPs), Jamat ud Dawah (JUD) has so far given 82,960 packets of food, and medical treatment has been provided to 7,951 patients at 9 medical camps. 5 Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) teams have been carrying out an extensive survey to allot ration cards to the IDPs. In a brief period of 3 days, 1330 families have been provided with foodstuff for one month, tarpaulins, clothes, and mattresses. Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation has speeded up the process of relief activities for the IDPs.
JuD’s central member, Molana Nasr Javed, Dr. Nasir Hamdani of Muslim Medical Mission, head of JuD North Punjab, Abu Ahmad Mahboob, Shafiq Ur Rahman of JuD Islamabad, along with other team members arrived at Bannu on Tuesday with relief goods. The team met with the IDPs and distributed dry food to 600 families.
Molana Nasr Javed said that JuD volunteers are busy day and night in looking after the IDPs, and relief goods are arriving from all over the country. Before the arrival of Ramadan, special Ramadan packages will be distributed as well. JuD volunteers are providing morning and evening meals to the IDPs that are staying temporarily at various schools, Madrassas, and neighborhoods. Head of FIF Bannu relief camp, Dr. Ihsan Ullah has said that water coolers, fans and dry milk for children have arrived from Faisalabad and other parts of the country. The goods will be delivered to the IDPs today.
