Fakhar Zaman joined Pakistan Navy in 2007 and remained part of it until 2013. He loved cricket so much that there was hardly any day when he came home after school. It was his hobby to go in the fields to play cricket after school, which annoyed his father who was worried about his education.

In navy his talent was spotted by his Navy’s Cricket Academy who asked him to apply for the post of Physical Training Instructor, but after meeting Younis Khan who advised him to play professional cricket from his hometown.

He left navy and started playing from where he represented Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abbottabad Falcons and Balochistan. In 2016 he played PSL which brought his talent to the whole world.
