The ‘Safe City project’ has launched a ‘Rescue 15 Panic Alert Android’ application to deal with emergency situations after the recent tragic Peshawar attack. This application has been launched specifically for the schools and other educational instates of Faisalabad. This application has been launched with a view to speed up the mobilization of police in the case of emergency. The application is not available for download freely on Google Play Store. Instead, it will be manually installed on Smart Phones after requesting the learning institute’s administration.
The application will provide a panic button for the user who will just have to press the button and an alert will be sent to 7 different locations. Police forces will be mobilized immediately through this panic button. Those educational institutes, who are interested in installing this application, should visit the website of the Faisalabad police and download the panic switch forms 1 and 2.
The educational institutes can also contact the rescue 15 Faisalabad division for the forms. The applicant should visit the police station with the completed forms and their Android Smart phones on which the application needs to be installed. The application will soon be available for the cities of Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Islamabad also.
