Third Cricket world cup was again hosted in England in June 1983. This time West Indies was most favorite team to depend title but no one knew that weakest team of top eight will win trophy. In semi finals India beat host country England while West Indies easily thrash Pakistan.
In final Indian batting order was totally collapsed. All Indian team out only on 183 & everyone was thinking that West Indies is about to complete “Hat Trick” but Indian bowling wipeout west indies batting order & all team out just on 140. India Won by 43 runs & became World Champion for first time.
