Sydney: The visitors Sri Lanka now meets Australia in the T20 series starting from 26th January (Tomorrow). Apart of indvisual performances the Sri Lankan team has not yet made a mark in the ongoing tour. Earlier the test series was won by the hosts 2-1 and then the One day series was drawn. Now it’s time for the Sri Lankan lions to give their best and make the series noteworthy by crushing the Australian Kangaroos.
Australian team is quite different to the team that played the T20 World Cup 2012 last year. New emerging players from the recently concluded Big Bash domestic League are given chance in the international level and few players like Shaun Marsh who showed outstanding performances in the league are recalled for the T20s. Whereas the Sri Lankan team will depend upon their T20 specialist pacer Lasith Malinga whose bowling was unplayable in the Australian domestic league. The blend of experience with youth makes the Sri Lankan team balanced.
With both the teams are in equally matched on paper, we will have to wait and see which team will dominate on the field.
