Karachi: The President of the Air League of PIA Employees Shameem Akmal and Secretary General Nasir Jinjua condemned the attack on the Karachi airport and expressed their grief for all the ASF and security personnel who lost their lives while defending the country’s asset and the people in the airport. They also prayed for Allah’s blessing on the martyrs of Karachi airport and that Allah may grant them the highest order among his men.
Mr Shameem Akmal further pressed on saying that the PIA authorities should give financial compensation to the families of the personnel who were martyred and financially help the families of those who were wounded. He also said that they also condemned the insensitivity shown by the PIA authorities on this sad incident and they were present at the airport and were helping people in any way possible.
Mr Shameem also said that the lack of concern shown by the PIA authorities was annoying, as neither the MD of PIA and nor the Chairman was seen on the airport and neither were they reachable. He said that the higher authorities were supposed to standing beside their employees in this hour of grief, but instead they have turned a deaf ear and are unresponsive. He said that the government should take extra security measures to prevent such an incident from happening again in future.
