Lahore: Pakistan and India despite being close to each other on geographical grounds are more distant in terms of social and political set up. These views were expressed by the legendary Bollywood actor who is famously known for his dialogue” Khamosh” Mr Shatrugan Sinha while talking to the Pakistani media at the Wagha border on Thursday. He is an actor cum politician and father of the beautiful young Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha.
He said that in times of General Zia-ul-Haq I would come to Pakistan often to attend his functions and this time too I decided to come to Pakistan, breaking all the hurdles to attend the valima reception of Ejaz-ul-Haq’s son valima, his grandson. He maintained that he had been asked by the doctors to restrict himself from such visits in winter seasons but he came here to fulfill his friendship and good terms. I would be back within few days after the valima reception said Mr. Kumar. He also clarified that he had come here for cultural and social motives and not for the political terms.
Replying to the question put to him about India vs. Pakistan series 2013 he said that these match do not only foster and promote goodwill but also make it evident that in actual the sports figure and media celebrities are in actual the true ambassadors who promote message of peace, unity and brotherhood between the two countries. He expressed satisfaction and appreciation towards the exchange of the two countries for co-operation in form of delegation of journalists, trade and political ambassador visits.
He said that a solution to the problems and the tensions that persists between the two countries lies in better holding of talk and agreement signing. Mr. Singh said that two countries should also step forward in the respective fields of dramas, movies and recording industry. He expressed willingness to visit Pakistan against as the intense weather conditions come to an end. “After my better health it is my first ever visit”.
