Karachi: The new TV commercial of ‘Veet’, a hair removing product, featuring Indian Actress Katrina Kaif has met severe criticism and disapproval across the Pakistani society. The hoarding and billboards on the roads are blacked out or pulled down in several areas of the city.
The TV commercials that few days ago were publicizing on almost every TV channel have gone missing after the jumping in of PEMRA into this critical matter. In addition, Chief Justice of Pakistan have also condemned the spread of vulgarity through these commercials and advertisement means.
The matter is undoubtedly too critical, as people here in Pakistan reject such immoral and vulgar advertisements, billboards etc. The presence of such billboards at every corner of the road was creating negativity among the residents who have still not reached adultery.
But that’s not all, such vulgar activities and presence of there king of billboards all over the city was increasing rapidly, there was no authority to stop it which resulted in the involvement of unidentified persons to take out necessary steps to eradicate the immorality from the society.
The matter of the fact is that until and unless government do not ensure and take required steps to eliminate vulgarity from the society, it will still penetrate in the society. Concerned authorities have to take some strict action against vulgarity, immorality and immodesty.
Update: This AD is still on-airing on Pakistani TV channels.
