Ibn-e-Aas Mohammed is one of the most prominent writer and journalist currently present in Pakistan. He is one of the oldest names in the business and has a large number of works under his name. His works include novels, dramas and telefilms which have gained popularity among both children and adults.
Ibn-e-Aas Mohammed hails from the town of Siranwali in Punjab and completed his education from Government Primary School in Siranwali after which he moved to Karachi where he has spent most of is life. Ibn-e-Aas started his writing journey in 1982 when he wrote the story ‘Rozay Ki Khushboo’. Since then he has written 6000 stories for children and adults as well as 30 novelettes and many novels as well.
He has the honour of being the youngest editor of popular children magazine “Toot Batoot” and has also been the editor of various other magazines. His most notable work was the novel
“ShehZore” which was a hit amongst the public. He has also contributed to Urdu Literature by translating English stories into urdu, most notably the Harry Potter and the Lord of The Rings series.
Apart from all that Ibn-e-Aas has written more than 200 dramas which have been aired on television and is also behind many television serials and soaps. His works are diverse ranging from horror to drama to sitcoms. His most famous plays include “Hawa Ko Likhna Jo Agya Hai”, “Batwaaraa (serial)” and “ Coffee House Classics”. He has received many awards for his brilliant work and his writings have earned him the first second and third place awards by the National Book Foundation.
