Pakistan cricket team has been a loss of hope for the Pakistani nation in the recently held ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh and the arrival of the cricket team had been FULL of criticism which was started by Afridi when he indirectly criticized Mohammad Hafeez for his “Lame Captaincy”. So Hafeez gave retirement as the captain of the T20 format saying he was not available for this position.
So the next series of Pakistan national cricket team is scheduled in August against Sri Lanka and four months time is not too long for PCB to take much of it. The seat is vacant and the nets are headed by the coach and so is the game plan and I think Pakistan is in desperate need of a skipper.
We have two nation favorites with the number one position going to Lala whose performance in the Asia Cup had been worth it! But in the ICC World Twenty20 Afridi was not able to produce any master innings so he is too dicey for the board to select as a skipper. Since 2009 he has a win percentage of 54.54% by winning 18 of his 34 matches and losing 15. On the other end the selectors introduced Malik whose statistics have been better then Boom Boom Afridi he has lead the team in 36 matches bringing victory to Pakistan in 24 of them so he has the win percentage of 66.66%.
Well! It’s all to the PCB we hope it make the right decision for the country itself!
