CHRISTCHURCH: West Indies has defeated Pakistan by 150 runs in 10th match of ICC World Cup 2015. The Pakistan team could not achieve the target of 311 runs in the match against West Indies in Hagley Oval ground and the whole team got out only on 160 runs in 39 overs.
When Pakistan started its innings, the starter batsmen of the Pakistan team returned to pavilion sooner as it has become a tradition and half of the Pakistan team returned to pavilion only on 25 runs. Nasir Jamshed lost his wicket on the second ball of the first over without getting any run.
Younis Khan became golden duck, Haris Sohail faced 6 balls but could not get any runs whereas Ahmed Shahzad also returned to pavilion only getting one runs on 10 balls. Misbahul Haq who is considered to be the back bone of Pakistan team’s batting line also returned to pavilion only on 7 runs.
In this situation, Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal somewhat resisted against Caribbean balers and achieved 80 runs however, Sohaib Maqsood got out after making 50 runs and the whole score of the Pakistan team at that moment was 105 whereas Umar Akmal also got out after getting 59 runs.
Shahid Afridi 28, Wahab Riaz 3 and Sohail Khan could only achieve 1 runs. Jerome Taylor and Andre Russell showed their best ballings and got 3 wickets each whereas Sulieman Ben 2, Jason Holder and Darren Sammy got 1 wicket each.
