LONDON: The Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has said that we want good relationships with India but we will not compromise on country’s prestige and sovereignty. General Raheel Sharif was addressing at the dinner given by the Pakistani High Commissioner Ibn-e-Abbas in honor of Army Chief.
Army Chief said that we would not leave operation Zarb-i-Azb unfinished that was started against terrorists, adding that we would root out terrorism from Pakistan at any cost. He further said that Pakistan wants good ties with all neighbor countries including India and Afghanistan but we would not compromise anything on our prestige and sovereignty.
Raheel Sharif said that over 10 thousands operations based on intelligence were carried out in Pakistan in which terrorists as well as their supporters were targeted. He added that Karachi has gained peace after operation against criminals was started.
Army Chief further said the whole nation is standing with Pakistan Army in war against terrorists. He said that 5 thousands soldiers have been martyred in this war, adding that the transfer of IDPs is continued and their resettlement is a big challenge.
General Raheel said that Pak-China Economic Corridor would bring economic prosperity to the region, adding that Pakistan is improving and foreign investor can now invest here. He said the Britain is our ally and we want good ties with it.
