Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, the young innocent lady doctor held as captive by the American forces has attracted much of the attention by the Muslims across the globe. Demand of her release is often repeated in form of protests in several countries of the world.
Outcry of her family appeared several times unheard for their plea to safely return their sister. But after several years, no productive results have been attained.
Declared as a ‘suspected militant’ aimed to affect the U.S. armed forces, she spends her life in harsh conditions, bearing physical and mental tortures in prisons of the United States. The Pakistani born doctor in America has been abused sexually and afflicted with tyranny that she has lost her senses.
Since, we the Muslim nation have failed to recover her from the U.S.A. homeland, several things are often designated bearing her name. As per some sources, in Syria, water well has been named after her while a fire engine sent as convoy to Syria also bears her name. These things bearing her name are expression of sympathy, solidity with the victim.
After spending considerable time of her life in imprisonment, the lifetime exile is a tribute for the innocent lady, declared convicted without violating any law or committing any crime.
