Homs: In the central city Homs of Syria, which was one of the first places to rise up against President Bashar Assad’s rule, the pro-government forces and militias devastated the city and even the holy places of city like Shrine of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed and the connected historic Jama Masjid was made a pile of rubble by activists as the video of this devastation has come into the light.
According to Al Arabiya TV, social workers have posted a video on the Internet after the withdrawal of rebels and their supporters under an agreement with Homs. Destructions of the city scenes are shown in the video in which demolition acts of shrine of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed and adjacent historic Jama Masjid Amaar Bin Yasir also included in the video.
Last year, shrine of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed has been attacked 2 times by Asadi military with bombing and missile as the shrine was badly damaged in the result. But recently army destroyed the remaining shrine and mosque as the military and their supporters entered Mazar-e Sharif and burned the religious and historical books. Moreover inner and outer walls of the shrine were chalked inflammatory and slogans of sectarian nature have also been written.
After the withdrawal of rebel, the hunger, poverty and sorrow of martyr shrine of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed of Homs’ residents have also been seen in the posted video. Citizens are bothered but they want to go back to the city again soon.
