The first thing you should remember is to refrigerate leftovers as soon as you can because leaving them will shorten their lifetime and will affect its taste and freshness.
After 2, 3 days check your refrigerator to see what leftovers are there and try some new recipes by mixing them all. For example if you white rice, some chicken pieces and salad remaining then you can cook or microwave them to create a new food.
