Google maps are being widely used around the world to navigate through cities and areas where you are going for the first time. It shows you the street, locations and the nearest school, mosques and malls. But imagine you are on your way and data packages ends? What will you do?
To counter such problems Google has allowed users to download parts of map of their cities or any city of the world which can be then used to even if you are offline.
To download a map you need to open your Google map app, go into settings which has an option ‘Offline Areas’ click on it and it will show you the map and asks you to select an area for download.After selection the specific part of map is downloaded and you can now use it without any internet connection.
Another advantage of this offline map is that you can even travel to remote areas in Balochistan or Gilgit Baltistan where networks are rarely available.
