It was after the destruction of Othmani Caliphate that lead to the division of its lands as a war booty among conquerors. After World War 2, when Britain and others grew weaker it decided to withdraw from these lands and shift from direct to neo-colonialism. West installed brutal dictatorships in Arab World particularly, whilst democracies in other. Today after plethora of tyrannies people in Arab world stand against oppressors and demand an alternate and West is trying to sell them democracy for continuing its colonialist exploitation and onslaught, as people there haven’t tasted democracy yet. In the aftermath of brutal killings in Iraq, Afghanistan and silence on Israel’s atrocities in Palestine and India in Kashmir, leading capitalists states have demonstrated their intentions with democracy starkly, where will of people is vulnerable. Recently, Obama extended the controversial Patriot Act to which he commented in 2007, in the run-up to his presidential campaign, “No more illegal wire-tapping of American citizens. No more national security letters to spy on citizens who are not suspected of a crime.” Similarly, he bought public opinion when he said, “World after OBL is peaceful”. It won’t be wrong to say that military regime in Burma is better the US, where military regime put Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest in her own home not like Dr.Afia who was charged with false allegations, and thrown behind dungeon for rape and torture.
There are serious questions against democracy that why did Bush invaded Afghanistan without consenting Congress? And Obama repeated this in case of Libya. Series of tremors in face of police onslaught against student’s protest in the wake of fee hike in Britain and attack on a member of US congress from Arizona in January, by a civilian who disagreed health policies of government are very few examples for elucidating how democracy is unable to set an example. Ban on veil in France where very few women wear veil and ban on minarets in Switzerland, where legislators campaigned that “they look like rockets” manifest that this system has corrupt foundations where through majority of legislators one can turn white into black and black in to white. It is democracy in question when legislators legalize the interference of U.S in Pakistan in the guise of strategic co-operation and legalize drones, it is again in question when NRO remains the law of the country. The demand for change hasn’t only swept Arabs and Pakistanis but also Indians where 17000 farmers committed suicide last year, nevertheless capitalists double their money with rising GDPs and growing gap between rich and poor. This is what Mike Prysner an Iraq War veteran feels when he says, “The enemy is a system that wages war when it’s profitable. The enemy is the CEO who lays us off our jobs when it’s profitable; it’s the insurance companies who deny us health care when it’s profitable; it’s the banks who take away our homes when it’s profitable. Our enemies are not 5000 miles away, they are right here at home.” Uprising in Arab World and problems of Pakistan need an alternate system with an alternate viewpoint. A poll conducted by US based center has shown that majority of Egyptians demand ruling by Quran, demand of people here is no different and this is what Islam provides to us with an Islamic State, which was when implemented for 1300 years. you couldn’t find scientists in the whole world except Muslim world.
