Islamabad: United Nations (UN) has taken into consideration the 18 European countries to intervene in the LOC dispute between India and Pakistan, the two arch rivals. According to the agreement signed between the two countries, India has had violated the terms for ten times in the last ten days. It had killed two Pakistani soldiers and alleged Pakistan for the tension.
UN had asked the other countries to intervene and settle the disputes peacefully through better talking. For this purpose, 18 ambassadors of the European countries today held meeting with the high commissioner and the Foreign Minister Salman Bashir and Hina Rabbani Khar.
Foreign Secretary General Saleem Abbas Jalani gave news briefing of the meeting and said that the meeting discussed and proposed the issue faced by theĀ against the agreement violation and presented a positive outlook, if the matter is seriously considered by the Indian forces. In the meeting, terms of the LOC agreement were talked upon.The ambassadors said that they look forward to better relations between the through neighbor countries and would solve the issue peacefully through talking.
It is pertinent here to mention that Pakistan had had decided to give Most Favorite Nation ( MFN) status to India, to enhance the trade, media, economic, social, cultural ties with India but with the beginning of the year, the two countries seem to have lose the friendly and peaceful attitude. Pakistan win against India in the last bilateral series of the cricket match has also added to the ill feelings, as it is said that the BCCI had been involved in fixing the 3 ODI mtach.
