Dubai: A Pakistani citizen has been given death penalty by court of United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) as he was caught while smuggling drugs. According to a foreign news agency, the man was carrying 4 kilograms of Heroin. He was caught on Sharjah airport and the drug was hidden in bandages on his leg.
The man was carrying 4 kilograms of Heroin on his legs, and the Heroin was tied under bandages on his leg. He somehow survived from Pakistan airport but unluckily was caught by police on Sharjah’s airport. This incident took place last year; however, he now has been given a death penalty on his crime.
In the light of several evidences, the court ordered a death sentence to the smuggler. But before that he was also given a time period of 15 days to submit an appeal against the case but he did not do so. In United Arab Emirates law there is death penalty for drug smuggling, while its implementation is very uncommon. So in majority of cases death penalty is being changed into life time imprisonments.
