TURBAT: Twenty labors gunned down in Turbat here today. According to details, some unidentified armed men fired at labors, sleeping in their camp due to which twenty labors lost their lives on the spot whereas three labors were seriously injured. The prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif ordered for immediate investigation of the incident.
The premier directed that the provincial government and the law enforcement agencies should bring the responsible people to book. On the other hand, the official sources said that the Chief Minister of Baluchistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch reduced his visit of Gwadar and reached to Turbat. According to the spokesperson of the CM Baluchistan, Dr Malik condemned the killing of labors strongly.
The Chief Minister asked for the report of the incident and directed the administration to immediately arrest the killers. According to the official sources, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch summoned a high level meeting about peace. The Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif also condemned the tragic incident of Turbat and expressed his grief whereas he condoled with the bereaved families.
According to sources, the incident took place in Gogdan, the area of Turbat, at Sohrab stream round about 2 O’clock late night where a flyover was under construction. The labors were sleeping when some unidentified attackers equipped with arms gunned them down. 20 labors died on the spot whereas 3 were seriously injured who were shifted to hospital.
