Recently Pakistan blind cricket team captain Abdul Razzaq announced his retirement from all form of cricket. He announced his retirement because of right foot injury. Abdul Razzaq led Pakistan blind cricket team to two World Cup victories.
Razzaq while announcing his retirement asked the president of Pakistan and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to award him something in recognition of his services so that he could live a comfortable life after the retirement.
It is sad to see that the player himself asked for something. It would be great if PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf invites him in a ceremony and also award him at least 5 million rupees. Print and electronic media and multinational companies should also pay tribute to world cup wining captain.
