Giving birth to child through Test Tube has been a controversial topic in Pakistan from many years and now Federal Shariat Court has declared it legal. In their decision they said that:
[junkie-alert style=”green”] “This process cannot be considered as illegal or against the Injunctions of Holy Quran and Sunnah,” [/junkie-alert]
The decision also detailed that it is allowed only if the sperm is taken from the father, egg from the mother and then the fertilization is done through medical process in test tube. And then the embryo is placed in mother womb, it is allowed in Shariah they declared.
But other processes or practices such as arranging surrogate mother for keeping the embryo in her womb because of monetary reward or any other reason is un-islamic and government should take steps against such practices.
Test Tube fertilization is beneficial for husbands with decreased sperm production and sperm infertility, women with damaged fallopian tubes or ovulation disorders can also give birth to child through this process.
