Rooh Afza is usually prepared by mixing the syrup in a glass of water or milk, and that’s how it is preferred by most of the people but there are plenty of other ways to enjoy it.
Rooh Afza Falooda Recipe:
Visit any Falooda shop and you will notice that the falooda is incomplete without adding Rooh Afza. If you want to prepare falooda at your home then follow this easy and simple recipe. To make falooda you need the following ingredients:
- Vanilla ice cream
- Rooh Afza
- Vermicelli (Seviyan)
- Basil Seeds
Soak vermicelli in hot water for 2 minutes and the cook it for at least 3 minutes or until they are cooked. Now drain it and leave them to cool down. In the same time soak the basil seeds in water and leave them for few minutes.
Now in a glass mix Vermicelli with 1 table spoon Rooh Afza, then add basil seeds & Vanilla ice cream. On the top you can add pineapple and crushed pistachio. Now add another tablespoon Rooh Afza on top of the falooda, your tasty falooda is ready to be served.
Similarly if you annoyed with the traditional taste of lassi then give a twist to it by adding Rooh Afza. If your kids don’t drink milk at night or in the breakfast then Rooh Afza can solve your problem, just add Rooh Afza and kids will be the one reminding you about the milk.
Rooh Afza Lemonade:
You can also make Lemonade with Rooh Afza which is a refreshing drink during hot summer. Take one glass of water, add extracts of lemon and two tablespoon Rooh Afza, your refreshing lemonade is ready. You can also add basil seeds which are known to be very effective to lower body temperature.
History Of Rooh Afza:
Rooh Afza was manufactured by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed in 1906 in the historical city of Delhi. After partition his son migrated to Pakistan and inaugurated Hamdard Dawakhana from Karachi in 1948. This is from where Rooh Afza become the prime drink of Pakistan and now you cannot imagine any iftar without Rooh Afza.
