Leading auto maker of Pakistan, Suzuki has announced to replace Cultus with Celerio in Pakistan. According to the sources, Suzuki Celerio will be launched in Pakistan next year as an alternative of Suzuki Cultus. Automakers have taken this initiative after rapidly falling demand of Suzuki Cultus in the last few years.
Pak Suzuki had launched Cultus in Pakistan in the year 2000, replacing Khyber car. Sources of Pak Suzuki Motors told leading English newspaper of Pakistan that 1000cc Celerio will be launched by the end of 2016 or in the beginning of year 2017.
On the other end, competitor of Pak Suzuki Motors in Pakistan, Honda Atlas also preparing to launch its new car HR-V. It will be 1497cc car which is completely built unit of Thailand. This car is expected to launch in the beginning of 2016, most probably in January. Sources of newspaper also claimed that the price of HR-V would be around 35 lacs. It is also rumoured in the market that Toyota is also starting local assembling of Vitz and Vios in Pakistan, but no confirmation comes officially by Toyota.
It is to be noted that car buyers have shifted to imported used cars in the last few years due to low price and better quality.
