Eighty two percent of water in Pakistan has been contaminated, according to a research organization. This polluted water is being used by the citizen, which results in Jaundice, skin, teeth and breathing problems are spreading among the people. In the water 23 big cities of Pakistan bacteria, potassium, sulphate, iron and other dangerous chemicals have been found, national research organization.
From 23 big cities of Pakistan about 14,000 samples of water were taken for research by Water Research Council. The result of the laboratory test was that about 82 percent of the country’s water was contaminated and is insecure for health.
The most dangerous case was of that of Khyber PakhtunKhwa’s Industrial State where about 93 percent of water was populated. While the water status of other cities was also very bad, like that of Faisalabad’s 90 percent, Gujranwala’s 75 percent, Lahore’s 69 percent of water is contaminated.
Gujrat’s 78 percent, Sheikhupura’s 65 percent, Rawalpindi’s 73 percent, Sialkot’s 55 percent of water was found contaminated. Karachi’s 90 percent and Hyderabad’s 80 percent water was full of dirty wastes of industries.
Arsenic has also been found in the water of Lahore, Multan, Kasur and Bahawalpur. The capital of Pakistan Islamabad is also not safe from impure water its 59 percent water is contaminated. Due to such huge amount of polluted water breathing problems in these cities are becoming common and about 2,30,000 children are dying due to this populated water annually.
