Recently a rape case has been transpired in the very small city of Pakistan named Kasur where a 7 year old girl Zainab Ameen was abducted near her home, raped and brutally murdered. After 5 days of abduction her body was found among the piles of garbage just 100 meters from her home.
It has been reported that Zainab was on her way to the Quran Classes when she get abducted while her parents were in Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah. Her relatives and other family members tried to find her and seek help from Punjab police for her absence but as usual Punjab Police failed to find that little angel.
On 9th January 2018 a passerby spotted the dead body of minor girl later identified as Zainab Ameen, daughter of Muhammad Ameen Ansari. On information, the police shifted the dead body to DHQ Hospital Kasur for autopsy. According to hospital sources, the autopsy confirmed that the minor girl was raped multiple times and then strangulated to death. Autopsy report also confirmed that the DNA found in Zainab’s body was same as those of 7 girls raped and murdered before Zainab.
But despite of all this government took no action on these cruel cases and the criminal is still free. Repeated crimes and no action reflect that the aim of this government is to loot resources of the country, enjoy power and make the masses fool.
Each time they promise to give us security, they claim that they will ensure our freedom but in reality they are all bunch of corrupt elite. They can’t do anything except of making statements that are nothing but political rhetoric.
Just take an example of our law minister Mr. Rana Sanaullah whose response to Zainab’s case was: “Its Parent’s responsibility to take care of their child. Why they leave their child alone” Can anybody ask Rana Sahab why the young girl was raped in Sargodha just a day after Zainab’s body was found? Her parents were in the city yet the young girl was raped. Such statements are only meant to avoid taking responsibility of the people they govern.
As a normal girl when I saw such cases my heart is shattered and why wouldn’t it be. This is the worst thing that can happen to anyone but in Pakistan we are seeing it from many years. The last action on these types of cases was taken by General Zia in 1981 when a similar case of child molestation and murder took place.Criminals were held accountable in a military court and hanged publically. The bodies were left hanging for hours while entire city came to watch and for the next decade NO such crime was reported.
But from the last 2 years these cases have become a norm and up to 12 under aged girls have been brutally raped and murdered in the past 12 months in Kasur only which has become the center of massive child abuse. According to reports in the media, Aiman Fatima, Fauzia, Noor Fatima, Sana, Asma and Laiba were among minors kidnapped from the suburbs of Kasur in 2017 and whose dead bodies were later recovered from different parts of the city.
The latest numbers released by Sahil, an organization that works on child protection, a total of 1,764 cases of child abuse were reported across the country in the first six months of 2017 alone.
Reported cases under major crime categories are 1,455 abductions, 502 rapes, 453 cases of sodomy, 271 cases of gang rape, 268 cases of gang sodomy, and 362 cases of attempted sexual abuse, and 100 cases of murder following sexual assault.
According to data from Sahil, out of the total cases of child abuse from January to June 2017, 62 percent were reported from Punjab, 27 percent of cases reported were from Sindh province, while 76, 58, 42, and 09 cases reported from Baluchistan, FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir respectively.
Actually the fact is that increase in these cases is the result of years and years of Islam not being implemented. As sad as it is to admit this will continue to happen until Islam is implemented.
[junkie-alert style=”green”] In our society people don’t know that the strict Islamic punishments for such crimes are a solution to stop such crimes. Unfortunately our government has failed to implement the teachings of Islam and to punish criminals according to Quran. If our government starts following Islam and punishing the criminals according to the teaching of Quran no one would dare to carry out these shameful and barbarous crimes again. [/junkie-alert]
Now it’stime to open our eyes. To stand for all the innocent victims who have been killed for no reason. It’s time to aware our society and children about sexual abuse. It’s time to break the barriers between parents and their children and it’s time to break the silence now because if we still remain silent on these types of crucial issues so that time is not far that something like this can also happen to our own children.
Remember! Zainab could be anyone. It could be your sister, your wife or your daughter. It’s time to stand as a nation and set an example.
