Karachi: The new opposition parties of Sindh are carrying out a fierce sit-in inside the Sindh Assembly during the provincial assembly session headed by Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khoro. The members of opposition parties including National Peoples Party, ANP, PML-F and PML-Q have put on black ribbons on their shoulders in protest against the People’s Local Government Ordinance.
According to the details, the opposition members are demanding to allot the opposition benches to the all new opposition members of the Sindh Assembly. The members are sitting in front of the Speaker’s desk inside the provincial assembly.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) holds the view that the resignation of Ameer Nawab and others are not been received by the Governor till now, therefore, opposition benches could not be allotted to them.
It is to mention here that Sindh Nationalist parties are also observing shutter down strike in Sindh due to the same reason, protesting against the President’s Ordinance which they believe is the division of Sindh.
