Riyadh: The Majlis-e-Shoora of Saudi Arabia has rejected the proposal for delaying the Isha Payers in the country in order to allow worshipers sufficient rest after Maghrib prayers. The recommendation also included the reason that it will boost economic, social, health and security conditions.
This was suggested by member Majlis Shura Fahad Al Ghanzi at the weekly meeting of the council. He suggested in his proposal that there remains little time between Maghrib and Isha prayers due to which people face difficulty in carrying out their important work and offering prayer. Therefore, Council must issue fatwa to postpone the Isha prayers for some hours.
In reply, Majlis-e-Shura released a statement stating, the decision would create hurdles for the old aged persons in offering prayer in a group. It will also allow the business to run late night hours which is not appropriate.
