Sarfaraz Ahmed is a Pakistani cricketer who has been serving the international cricket team of Pakistan as a wicket keeper and a right handed batsman. Sarfaraz was picked up from the under 19 cricket squad for his noticeable victory at the under 19 world cup in 2006. He was made captain of the under 19 cricket team just after five games and was recognized for his potential at an early stage.
Sarfaraz got his chance to shine when he was called up as a replacement for Kamran Akmal, who was out of the squad for a finger injury. He made his debut in the final matches between India and Pakistan in November 2007. In his debut match, Sarfaraz was not able to show his potential as Pakistan had already won the match and there was no need of heroism. In 2008, was selected ahead of Kamran Akmal for the Asian cup and served well as a wicket keeper.
Sarfaraz was given a category C contract and was selected for Pakistan’s next series against Sri Lanka for the one day internationals for his performance in the 2012 Asia Cup, where he was able to score 46 not out in the final of the tournament.
